Opening the door to the presence of God!

“All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:25-27

Last Wednesday as I sat in Bible study listening to the teacher impart wisdom I had a vivid thought come to mind.

While the teacher spoke about the Holy Spirit, I saw a door. In front of the door was a man his face pleasant and peaceful. Motioning for me to follow He cracked the door open then crossed the threshold propping it open for me. I glanced into the room. I heard the words communion, love, goodness, mercy, covenant, beloved dancing around in the air bouncing off the walls. It was as if the encouragement were waiting for me to enter so each letter could jump into my mind. In a moment I realized the man was Holy Spirit opening the door to communion with God. Perfect gentlemen he would never force me to enter the room. Instead patiently waiting, He invited me into a personal covenant with God through the blood of Jesus.

When we decide to protect time in prayer, the Holy Spirit within us opens the door and supernaturally connects us with God. You and I can stand boldly before the throne of Grace because Jesus covers our sin and shame. You see today as I ponder on this impression I am encouraged more and more. I do not serve a God who ignores my needs. God bends down low to hear each prayer, and he listens intently when the righteous cry out for help.

Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!

Psalm 116:2

Today speak truth to your heart and mind. Do not allow the enemy to steal your personal covenant. Holy Spirit within you is opening the door to a room full of God's presence and promises positioned to meet your every need. He is standing on the threshold inviting you inside. Reminding you and me that Grace abounds and mercy triumphs over judgment.

What messages are bouncing around the walls of your encounter with God waiting to unfold? Go on. Enter in.

Seated in heavenly places. Co-heirs with Christ. Beloved children of an almighty sovereign Father. Clothed in righteousness, and overflowing with joy. Confidently overflowing peace and unafraid we stand in victory. We say YES Lord, as we walk across the threshold.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in

glory by Christ Jesus.
